phrase enthusiastically uttered after doing something of note or used when encouraging others to do something of note. Sometimes said in conjuction with a mimed jump shot.

A: I am about to go to the boss with my new idea.
B: Take it to the hoop!

or

A: I am going to ask that hottie out. Take it to the hoop!
