Deschaneling

Derived from the actress Zooey Deschanel:

De·scha·nel·ing
Intense use of eyes in a popped-open bug-eyed stare to make the other person feel less than yourself. The aim is to put the other into a beautified trance, masking your insecurity, and making the other person feel like they are being put on the spot, in turn taking the social pressure and anxiety off of yourself.
I was telling her the storying in a calm and relaxed manner, but she was totally deschaneling me for no reason at all.
