a person that is the "glue" of the group. They have to be at the event to keep things less awkward, liked by all/most people in the group.
especially found in bigger groups (6 or more) and known to bring two groups together

i hope Rachel is going she's the "glue" and will keep things going smoothly at Laurens' party
