A band or musician that you have not yet heard of but who has been on the scene prior to your knowledge of them.

Duder #1: Yo dude, have you heard of <insert band here>? They've been around since like 1995.
Duder #2: Nah, they sound awesome, I now have a new favorite garage sale band.
