Temfitting

Definition:A psychological coping mechanism and self-healing method used when a person feels lost, broken, or uncomfortable with their own identity. The word is a blend of "temper" (personality/disposition) and "fitting" (trying on clothes). To cope with internal chaos, the person finds a "comfort character" from a movie, TV show, anime, or cartoon and literally tries on their character traits, habits, and mindset. How the method works:The Fitting: The person consciously copies the chosen character's behavior, using this new persona as a protective shield or a cozy emotional cocoon from the outside world. The 21-Day Rule: They "wear" this behavior for about a month. If the habit roots within 21 days and helps restore their inner peace, it becomes their new permanent mental foundation. The Reset: If the personality feels uncomfortable or "doesn't fit," they metaphorically put a cross on it, drop it, and look for a new character to try on.
Example:"After going through a tough burnout, I completely lost myself. I started doing some temfitting with a comforting, kind, and slightly naive character just to protect my energy and build a new foundation."
