When something, like a piece of cheese, is constantly cut by the law of infinite halfs, whereby anyone who takes a piece of cheese does not take the last piece, no matter how small. Thus avoiding the guilt of taking the last piece.

"Woah man, that hippie cheese is getting kind of small, now I've got all cracker and no cheese!"
