A phase often experienced by late teens or young adults in the months and weeks before they leave home characterized by an increase in risk-taking, rule-breaking and disrespect and a decrease in GPA and emotional maturity. More politely known as "soiling the nest:"
Relative: "How's your son doing?" Parent: "I can't wait until he's off to college in August so he's been shitting the nest."
