Helicoptering

“Hovering” over someone by snap chatting or texting them for a few weeks but not actually planning on hanging out until you have no better option or never hanging out at all.

Friend: This guy has been snapping me for almost two months but never asks me ona date.

Me: He is totally helicoptering you!
Friend: So what do I do?
Me: Cut him off he’s just keeping you on the back burner.
