A group including IBM, Apple and Sun Microsystem to create a cross-compatible distributed object standard. Later it simply stood for Oh My God.

slipknot

A metal band that has generated a lot of controversy over their lyrics and The texas chainsaw massacre styled masks. There was a man who claimed he murdered because of lyrics he read. People constantly say that the lyrics encourage suicide/murder but it is likely those few people heard Slipknot.

Interesting tidbit: Slipknot's members moms are mostly big fan. Two members admit they called their moms on mothers day.

Personally I don't like Slipknot but that's just me.
