Monkey Media

A genre of visual art, memes, or edits where a monkey or an ape (whether it’s a live animal, a painting on the wall, a statue, or a person in a realistic costume) is seamlessly integrated into a completely normal, historical, or fictional setting. The key to Monkey Media is absolute realism: the primate element is treated as a "local" or a regular part of the environment, blending in with the lighting and mood without anyone in the scene acknowledging the absurdity.
