Fartbox

A newly, quickly and cheaply built, multi-family residential apartment building or condominium complex just tall enough to replace blue sky views with thoughtless, tasteless design at least 5 blocks in every direction. American fartboxes are typically "constructed" of wood framing and styrofoam that's wrapped in chicken wire that's then covered in stucco or brick veneer. It must be as ugly as possible, cost as little to build as possible and in turn cost as much as possible to purchase, cool, heat and maintain. To make room for new fartboxes, gassy developers will commonly target a towns most vulnerable historic neighborhoods. Sites most significant to a regions cultural heritage are the most suitable locations.
