To fill up a glass to the max, therefore grounding the cup and and not enabling the drinker to carry it from place to place.

Comes from the Jewish tradition, where the blessing wine cup needs to be completely full.

Josh: Hey Rita, Can you make me a cup of coffee?
Rita: Sure Sweety.
Josh: But don't do a kidush, i need to take it to my office.
