A censored version of cop; used both by bloods who try to pronounce things without using the letter c (on account f their feud with the crips) and by rappers who want to get their lyrics greenlit by their corporate record labels.

Used synonymously as a shortened version of "opposition" to reference the police killings of unarmed black people being diametrically opposed to peaceful living. Also used synonymously as a shortened version of "operative" due to the long history of government infiltration and government informants disrupting black communities. In this context, it can be used as an adjective describing a snitch.

Look out for the ops, they kill unarmed black people.

Don't trust random strangers at protests, they could be an op.
