White Colombian

White Colombians are very common, unlike most latin americans who tend to have indian and dark traits , people might be a little surprised with the ammount of white Colombians, mostly in big cities like Medellin, Cali and the capital city: Bogotá.

Colombains aren't Mexicans, nor Peruvians, nor Guatemalans and so on. Therefore Colombians aren't necessarily brown or have similar looks as their Latin American counterparts. In fact, there are a lot more white genes in the Colombian heritage since the Spaniards first arrived in South America. Many Colombians get this a lot:
British guy: where are you from?
Colombian: Colombia
British guy: But you don't look Colombian, you look white!

This a perfect example of the misconception among people when generalizing typical Latino traits.
