miserrhea

noun: A person suffering from the chronic need to inflict misery and unhappiness on others in order to feel happiness themselves. Related to the Unhappiness Syndrome, but a miserrhea must spread unhappiness and not simply experience it.

S/he has miserrhea; the suffering it caused is still infecting the staff.
