A purported "gang" with chapters in several Puerto Rican middle schools, mostly composed of seventh and eighth graders. They are generally characterized by arrogance, self-righteousness and disrespect to others, even those above their own age. This defiance to the social order of the school is usually not appreciated by high school students, especially upperclassmen.

Other defining characteristics of the "T-Unit," as they like to call themselves, include verbal and physical abuse of sixth and seventh graders and freshmen, mouthing off to teachers and older students, and chauvinistic attitudes celebrating their masculinity, even though some members conform to the stereotype of a "nerd" or "geek" (i.e. glasses, short, out of shape, etc.)

Apparently based on popular hip-hop groups such as G-Unit and Murder Inc.
John: "You heard? The Terror Unit beat up a freshman yesterday."

Mario: "That's not right, man. We've got to find some way to get rid of those little idiots."

Get the Terror Unit mug.
Puerto Rican term for marijuana. When it would sound awkward in a sentence, it's shortened to "nena." A number of verbal expressions are made up around its existence, such as the following:
"Blowing la nena" - smoking weed.
"Getting la nena through" or "doing la nena" - smuggling weed.
"La nena's getting too hard to sell."
"You got any nena?"
"He spent last night blowing la nena."
"He got la nena through at JFK."
