To senselessly revisit an unenjoyable experience or decision despite it being spectacularly obvious to everyone around you it will change nothing.

Eg.
A Uni student asking for a remark of an exam that scored less than half the required pass mark.

Men bringing up old arguments they previously lost with their spouse.

Every Decision Review System call Tim Paine (Australian Cricket Captain) has made.
