to tackle-hug someone, usually well-intended, but can be violent.

1. Q. "Hey, why is Alex on the floor?"
A. "He just got glommed by a bunch of girls, which knocked him over."
2. Guy (to girl): Hi babe, I just got some of your favorite brand of clothes for you at the store.
Girl: :O *glom* THANKS!!
