Origins:
A slang term derived from the word “carp” due to its connotations with the idea of a “dead fish” or being “dead in the water.”

Definition:
A Karp is a person who is either irritable, pompous, uptight, or serious to the point of ruining the atmosphere/vibe of a situation.

“get a grip you karp” or “*insert name* is being such a karp right now!”
