Someone who is overly praised for getting paid to do their job like anyone else, in the career that they chose but needs their ego stroked at the same time.

Wow isn't that firefighter doing a great job being the first one at a medical call each and everytime, we should all praise that first responder!!

Sure glad that cop gave him a ticket!!! Wait a minute let's thank him and post about it how grateful we are he's a first responder.
