A film or televsion property that is rebooted and recast with women in roles played by men in the orginal material. Similar to a shequel.

Sophia Vergara has been cast to play Hannibal in a sheboot of "The A-Team." Rhonda Rousey was screen tested for the B.A. Baracus role.

shequel

A sequel to a film that casts a majority of women in lead roles where earlier films in the series had mostly make leads. Unlike a sheboot, a shequel continues the film series' continuity.

The next "Expendables" film will be a shequel that features Luna (Rhonda Rousey) leading a team that includes the Calvary (Ming-Na Wen) and the Canary (Caity Lotz) to rescue Barney (Sylvester Stallone) from the clutches of an old adversary.
