From the original French, "Maman." Refers to a family matriarch, usually after a child begins learning French in school and learns that French children refer to their own mothers as "maman." Originally intended as a joke, the name is frequently co-opted by the mother figure herself, as in the declaration, "I am the Manman!" May also be referred to as "Manwich" or "The Manwich."
