1. in current use, a general substitute for any noun in existence, regardless of gender or number.

2. a common term popularized by Mike "The Situation" from the first season of MTV's reality series, "Jersey Shore" (2009), typically used to denote the expected arrival of reasonably attractive girls for an informal social gathering.
1. "You need a mani bad. You should find a Chinese chick to buff your situation." --Megan Fox as Jennifer Check in the film "Jennifer's Body" (2009), referring to another character's finger nails.

2. "We have a Situation!" --Mike "The Situation" from MTV's "Jersey Shore" (2009), after phoning several groups of girls that he met on the Boardwalk and confirming their willingness to hook-up.
