Deriving from the ever popular SMH, SMHALATST means "Shake my head and laugh at the same time." This is usually used in cases involving a question,statement, or event that is too absurd or stupid to dignify solely with a simple SMH or an LOL.

Person 1: Dude, I just stepped in dog crap...
Person 2: What?! SMHALATST.
