Flimper

Originally used to describe a premium branded car (e.g. Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW) that is equipped with a very basic spec (e.g. steel wheels with hub caps, manual windows, unpainted plastic bumpers)

More recently used to describe things other than cars (e.g. base-spec smart phones)

Tony saw my new BMW M3 last week and earlier today he pulled up to my house in a flimper 1 Series saying we’re car bros now! I don’t think so!
