Rustle feathers

To rustle (subject)’s feathers is to get under their skin to the point of annoyance, where anger directed or misdirected is taken out on the Rustler, friends, or family.

Nick: You know, you (start rustling subject)...
Kenji: God dammt! (Response rant). Why you gotta start shit like that?
Nick: Calm bro, just try to rustle feathers!
