A junior is a 11th grader but they have a second name just like freshman=9th grader sophomore=10th grader senior=12th grader. Junior year is the 3rd year of high school.

11th Grader: I’m a Junior.
Someone: What grade are you in?
Junior: I am an 11th grader.
