Short for "Shouting from the sidelines". It's used when you think you have something relevant to contribute to an ongoing conversation that you observe, even though you weren't part of the conversation when it started and might not want to commit to it beyond your one comment.
Person A: Have you seen the new movie? It was great!
Person B: Yeah, I really liked it. I'm gonna buy it on DVD!
Person A: Yeah, I'd love to see it again too!
(Person C, overhearing the conversation): SFTS, but I heard it's coming to Netflix in 4k soon, so no need to buy it on DVD.
