A pretentious person who cares about their social image to the point where they would harm others around them and switch up on their friends just to carve out a certain reputation for themselves; an advanced form of social climbing.
Mark deleted all of his really cool social media posts as soon as he started befriending those frat dudes just because he thought they would criticize him for it, what an image merchant! Never expected that from such a chill guy.
