girch

Derogatory reference to someone who attended a center for the mentally handicapped in La Junta, CO. Popular use during the 1980s and 1990s by locals. Used in place of words such as "retard" or "idiot".

"There goes the Girch bus, you're gonna miss your ride."
"You're such a Girch."
"Don't be a Girch."
