Derived from old time sailor saying “I don’t like the cut of your jib”. One who likes to flap their gums in obvious situations . Similar to a captain obvious but a little different. The saying was created by Russell Stefanick in North Battleford, Saskatchewan in 1991

If this jib runner keeps it up I’m gonna backhand this mutha fucka!!
