A person who isn't quite a bum but certainly isn't successful. A skid can often be seen wearing an FXR jacket or Ecko sweat shirt. They usually graduated highschool via some sort of work placement program. A skid often smokes cigarettes, drives a rusty old vehicle, has an illegitimate child, and is in between jobs.
