Redhead Exchange 

An esoteric social interaction, Redhead Exchange is when two redheads encounter each other in public and exchange a glance, long look, or a nod. A Redhead Exchange is not a conscience decision, but an instinctual acknowledgement of a shared unique trait. This spontaneous connection is based on mutual empathy and communicates the experience of having a distinctive appearance. A Redhead Exchange effectively says " I know what you've been through".
