A portmanteau of sanctissima (Latin: "Rhymes with") and orange, and refers to any word that rhymes with orange (cf, scourange).

Scourange, scourange, a sanctissimorange, the only other word that rhymes with orange.

A delightfully ambiguous, and therefore useful, pejorative.

Thought to have originated in the 1970s oil fields of Wyoming and Northern Colorado.
