Jessicaism

A Jessicaism is the tradition of saying on New Year's Day any thing one is doing for the first time that year

For example:

" This is the first time I've had coffee all year"
"This is the first time I've showered all year"
"This is the first time I've checked my messages all year"

A Jessicaism is when your friend says in New Year's : This is the first time I've talked to you all year.
