First Drop refers to the first time you drop a new electronic. Handhelds like cellphones,pdas,ipods are usually the vitims. Usually the operator and owner of the device has much less regard for the well being of the electronic after the first drop.

Friend- Bro I'm really sorry your RAZR vibrated off the table
You- Dont worry bro it's chillin I had the first drop like a week ago.
