dare-devil dodge 

Dare-devil dodging is when you dodge at the last second; usually within the context of a hack and slash.

Often, as is the case in Bayonetta's witch-time, this belated dodging grants a bonus such as slowed time, increased damage or speed.

This term is similar to 'Demon dodge' which is a reference to the 'demon evade' found in 'DMC: Devil May Cry'.
Only scrubs dodge. True players dare-devil dodge.
3d is an abbreviation for dare-devil dodge.

It means to dodge at the last possible moment - commonly within a hack-and-slash.

Usually a player will 3d for style points, or for a mechanical benefit as in Bayonetta with Witch Time
Mate if you wanna rack up that score you've gotta 3d. Only scrubs dodge immediately!
