acting as a confederate, adopting a known conformist position, as per Solomon Asch's experiment, that is knowingly held whether it is correct or not, potentially to the detriment of the uninitiated, who may indeed be speaking the truth, which may result in discrimination.
a 'psychotic' patient showing lack of psychiatric 'insight' who may be therefore discriminated against by virtue of 'confederatism'.
