When people who rely on external validation have posted the same algo pleasing pictures/videos long enough to gain a large following on Instagram. Usually there are brand collabs involved with little return on investment for the brands paying for product placement. The majority are women who think they're attractive or at the very least look good in yoga pants.

Influencers that post every day are driven to do so to keep their social media algorithm happy. They’re being psychologically manipulated by the platform, through engagement, to post certain content at certain times to remain relevant. Slaves to the algorithm just to stay “popular.”
