Pineapple

To impose an exaggerated affection of an item or an action upon somebody subtly, so much so, that becomes inherent part of their identity.

H: Do you like pineapples?
L: Sure
H: I had no idea they were your favourite fruit. Pineapples will always remind me of you..
L: Urgh, don’t pineapple me like that.
