Being so perfect and prodigious at something you've never, ever made a mistake once - not even when heavily distracted. Origin: JS Bach and an old promotional Christopher Guest/ Nigel Tufnel video for (free) Steve Vai guitar lessons.
Meshuggah were so good last night, they kept on johanning through Bleed even though both guitarists' effects pedals broke and they had to use unprocessed clean-tones, the drummer left halfway through for a dump but still kept on playing, the shouter self-immolated and the stage collapsed. Not one note out of place - and they used every note on the 8 strings at least once in the solo, which was a perfectly ruined chromatic improvisation, compared to the written, carefully considered album solo. Oh you really must see them live Betty - it's truly marvellous! Bravo Meshuggah!
