Refers to the 8-bit inspired games that was everywhere in 2015-2016 commonly named as "Pixel Art" games. All of those games seemed to be made by an indie developer and more importantly there seemed to be an exorbitant amoung of circle-jerking related to those games by both developers and gamers touting them as "purer gaming, art, etc." whilst climaxing.
