A person or thing that looks solid but collapses the second it matters. Comes from old workshop slang for a “twisted scrap” that falls apart under pressure.
To wick = to fail dramatically right when people are counting on you.
Example:
“Bro talked like he had it handled, then wicked the entire project in two minutes.”
