Nyis 

An assertive German term used to contradict a negative statement or to express a contrary opinion. Often used as a single-word response to indicate that something is indeed the case, contrary to what was previously suggested.

Person 1: "Did you like the movie?"
Person 2: "Nyis, I hated it."
