Sweet irony

When someone tells a long story and you zone out, and the story teller looks for a reaction, saying "sweet irony" to the story teller is an appropriate response. Story that was told may or may not contain actual irony.
Abe Lincoln: Vice President Hannibal Hamlin, what did you think of my Gettsburg Adress?
Hannibal Hamlin: Sweet irony!
