Toned

Used as an adjective to badly describe a body composition goal that can only be explained using real terms, such as gaining or losing weight or adding muscle. "Toned" is a term most commonly coined by middle - aged white women and those with no real knowledge about lifting weights or building muscle.

"Jess and I just started doing kettlebell exercises! We're trying to get toned for summer!"
