Cosmopolisnob

A person who exhibits an inflated sense of self-importance based on their cosmopolitan residence, and also behaves as if they have personally contributed to its prestige and allure, despite having made no notable contributions themselves. This person basks in the reflected glory of their city, leveraging its accomplishments to inflate their own self-worth. The word is a portmanteau that combines "cosmopolitan" and "snob."

Josh, a native of Los Angeles, sneered at the modest midwestern city he was forced to visit for work, for he was a cosmopolisnob.
