The ecstatic response some people experience upon consuming foods containing hot peppers, such as the popular Indian dishes known as vindaloos. The phenomenon of Vindaloophoria may be explained a chemical compound in the hot peppers that resembles an endorphin or, alternatively, by the food being so deliciously spicy.
Neko avoids the salsa verde so as not to induce bouts of vindaloophoria in which she runs around the restaurant waving her arms and cackling.
