A professional who abandons the urban dwelling to live in the country on 3+ acres in order to lead a more peaceful and self-sustaining lifestyle motivated by the desire for independence, financial freedom and security. Often pursuing endeavors such as hobby farming in attempt to live off the land. These individuals often have absolutely no experience in farming or hunting, but are the first ones to attempt raising heritage breed pork. They represent a growing segment in the market for products such as compact tractors and off-road utility vehicles.
Local farmer: "I wish them gosh darn ruralpolitans would stop movin into our peaceful little town, maybe they should just head back to the city."
