1. Active form of ‘to bang’. To bang on someone means to show them the same level of respect they showed you

This can be personified in a lot of different ways. My personal favorite is to hang up on someone when they’re talking too much and they need to be humbled.

Girl: I might have to bang on this nigga he’s talking crazy over the phone

Girl: banging on these niggas is my favorite
